Hello Torchmodders Community :)
« on: »
Hi,

My name is Jacques and i'm 43 years old.
I'm a great fan of Hack 'N' Slash games and especially Torchlight Games (i've bought TL1 and TL2 since they were released via Runic Account).

I really like TL2 for his loot, the classes, the gameplay but especially for his modding feature (thanks to GUTS and Modders). Of course the Vanilla mode is great and the game is really cool and fun but i have to admit what i prefer now is the Mods made by some awesome guy here (i finished the game a lot of times with the four Vanilla classes at lvl100)
My favorite mods are additional classes and others mods which don't change too much vanilla game (like the awesome Unearthed Arcana mode by Deezire, additional classes like those done by Darkstar, TwinkleToes, gytfunke, Phanjam, RNF, Zyph, Minesweeper and Foldar).

I'm really happy to join the Torchmodders Community even if i'm not a Modder (tried a lot of times GUTS but i have to admit i'm not good at modding and i don't think i will be good a day  :D )

Best regards,
JacKc.

NOTE: Sorry for my poor English, bit i'm a native French.

Salut Jacques et bienvenu sur le site.  Je te reconnais du site Runic.  Faut pas être si polis ici, ton anglais est super (ou au moins je soupçonne que c'est pareil à mon niveau de français).

Hi JacKc welcome to Torchmodders!

Yes it's never too late!  I am 52 years old myself (look at my avatar :D ), but when I'm in the company of all these youngsters around here I feel young again (and they don't treat me like an oldie either which I appreciate very much). I'm still weak as a modder but my knowledge has increased greatly with all the help I get from this site and the members!

You PMd you'd like to help test the TL1CP mod, but you're not on Steam - I'll send you a link to DL the .MOD file ;)

Phanjam is too modest.  He's an excellent artist and is doing a good job on the class skills for our TL1CP project.

In addition, he is one of the first TL modmakers. I've admired his work for TL1 game - this is the reason why I started doing mods.  :)

A bit late, but Hello JacKc  :D and welcome to Torchmodders, always nice to have more people around.

And don't worry, there is a lot you can do around here with little GUTS modding knowlegde (for know, sooner than later you are going to get your hands dirty out of curiosity lol). For example, you could test and give your feedback, help on the wiki  ;), try your hand at Blender (or 3ds max if you can get your hands on it  ::) ) or anything Torchlight related  :D

You could even script some quest for someone to make them later or look for mods with interesting features for people to discuss and analise. Nothing is out of question, well, almos nothing.  :D
