Not sure if it's working but i have uploaded a new version on google drive to adress your requests.

I have also uploaded a new version for the "Big" version, with more reasonable increased stats.
The link is on the first post of this thread.
I've developped a script to automatize pet changes, because it's too long to do by hand.
I know there are still a few flying pets that are off screen, I will adress them later.

It still happened, I did the same by letting my "Guardian Siege Pet & Mana Guardian" pet fight the enemy alone, and when he was attacked / the HP was dying he still screamed in pain. You will be surprised if you play using Headphones. :o

It's been much better, especially for pet on that walk on the ground. It seems that for a flying / floating pet it needs a separate treatment so that he doesn't off the screen.  ;D

I think it's in the .ANIMATION file again... either of these two KEYS...

I'm still not sure where is the problem, in fact I can't reproduce it.
What about the rest ?
I've changed the sounds for Mech Crawler and the sizes you asked.
I've also added a skin for the Wolf pet (based on )  and the 2 goblin skins given by Goblin.

The occurrence is not as frequent as before, but Guardian Siege & Mana Guardian Pet still emit sounds especially when their "HP" is low.

The annoying sound on the Mech Crawler has been resolve. And also for the size of the pet that I ask to be equal to the player is also good. :)

New skin for wolf & goblin also so cute.

I've uploaded a new version of Variant Pets on GDrive.
@Sch123, can you check again the sound for Guardian Siege and Mana Guardian ?

I've also included a new pet in it, the horse.
The problem with horse's model is there was no animation for walking / running in the original files.
So I've tried to make these animations basing on Alpaca and Deer models.
The result is far from perfect, you clearly see that these animations were not made for an horse.
But it makes the pet playable so I've included it.

I've also uploaded the Big version with reduced sizes for a few flying pets.

@Korzeam : I've tried the latest version of Variant Pet, there are some that need to be considered:

- Mech Crawler disappears on the Pet Starter selection menu, it looks like you accidentally changed something in there.
- Horse pet size is too large, it will be better if adjusted to the size of the player.
- The way how to walk & run from a Horse Pet is really funny  :D, but I like the attack animation he has. Can it be fixed for the animation to walk and run? maybe you can use animations from other pets like the Mana Guardian.
- For annoying sounds on Pet Guardian Siege & Mana Guardian there is no more a scream when their HP is low. :)
- Can you also add an attack animation for Ember Colossus? Because he can only kick, it will be good if he can also punch. :P Maybe you can take an attack animation from Corrupted Mercenary or Diablo Pet.

Additional:

- And when I try to use Pet Mech Crawler, the Mech Crawerl on Pet Menu seems to have a glitch.

I think the horse scale to the human is anatomically correct for a full-grown horse. U can make it smaller but u will call it a pony ;)

By the way, can a pet be made to check items like players, on "Rock, Chest, Pagoda, Crate, etc ? ::)

It is also good if Pet can do that, especially to check if there are traps inside. :D

New Idea for New Pet:

What if you add Creeper to Variant Pet Mod. I know you've said if this creature had no animation to attack other than blasting itself like in Summon Creepers Mod. Because of this I have a suggestion, what if Creeper was made able to attack by calling other Creepers who could explode against the enemy. Maybe you can make Pet Creeper call Mini Creepers and he will blast himself to attack the enemy. So later he will be like a Pet Hobsprite with unique abilities or maybe you can think of it as Black Portal Pet Lite. :D

I've uploaded a new version with a fix for Mechcrawler (thanks for noticing !) and a very slight size reduction for the horse (I don't want a Pony !)
I'm afraid I can't do better for the horse animations, Guardian siege has not the correct skeleton to be compatible.
@Vkoslak, maybe you could have a look to the horse model to add proper walking and running animations ?

I'm sorry but I can't.
As I said skeleton models have to be compatible to copy an animation from a pet to another.

It's possible but it takes time.
If someone can implement it for me I would be glad to add it to Variant Pets.

I've put a link for a Dark Portal prototype in the first post.

I'm not totally satisfied of the result yet :
- This pet should avoid enemy contact but it always want to get close to them, even if I use a RANGED AI.
- It should summon minions more often that it does, I don't know exactly what triggers the summoning.
- A few summoned minions are partially invisible, I don't know why
- I would like to add a particle effect for the sumonnings

I saw in Torchlight II Essential that there is a Fish Creeper that can turn your Pet into a Creeper. And also the Pet Creeper can't attack and instead can do Heal like Healing Bot. Maybe if the skill is replaced with Summon Creepers Mod, maybe it can.

I hope this helps a little. :P

Maybe you can look at the Healing Bot, he doesn't attack and isn't attacked by an enemy. He is always near us where we go, and he does healing both on players and pet. Maybe it can be used as a basic idea. ;)

You can also see the creeper pet that is on Torchlight II Essential, he seems to get the same idea from Healing Bot. :)

Or you can look at Imaginary Pet.

This model uses standard wolf animations(MEDIA\MODELS\MONSTERS\WOLF\). I just added spawn animation. For my test-mod this is enough. This is a different kind of wolf, like the shadow wolf.
