Just out of curiosity, how did you make the great idle animation? It's pretty cool looking with all that moving parts.
Hey Anarch!
I used the standard model which can be found here: MEDIA\LEVELSETS\PROPS\DWARVENLAB_PROPS\ANIMATED_PROPS\DWARVENLAB_MACHINERY_MEDIUM_04\ This prop has an excellent base model and Idle animation - all parts are shaking - it's cool.
Then I reworked this model - added the necessary new parts
After that I changed the standart prop skeleton. I moved it a little bit and added new bones(Door1, Door2, Pan, Gear1, Gear2, Handle, Prop). Originally I was planning to use 2 doors, but then I changed it to the lock + the door.
On my gif-picture all new movements I added in a text editor to check how it works. It's quite simple, because mechanisms has simple movements - rotating and sliding.
But now, I'm trying to make more complex movements in 3D Max. It is more convenient and faster.
Also I reduced(scale) skeleton and animations to 60% in 3D Max for a human height.
Hi Kva I'm new to Torchmodders, but I've been modding on the Steam Workshop for years now, and I was just wondering if I could use your "brutebot Mk1" model for my Path Of Torchlight map mod. I absolutely love the work you've done and would really appreciate it if you were to let me use this model. Here's a link to the post you made just in case you don't remember: http://forums.runicgames.com/discussion/59786/model-brutebot-wip
Kva3imoda i hope you won't mind if I welcome @Darkthan9800 here in your thread
Hi Darkthan! Of course we know who you are you've got a lot of great mods on the Workshop. We're very happy that you've signed up here at Torchmodders!
It's a little quiet at the moment, but there's always modders popping in here with ideas and questions or to post about something they're working on. We just try to support each other
He-he. I'm sorry. As you can see, my progress is not great. I lost my inspiration in recent months. Looks like I've rested enough now and I can work a little.
Now I'm working on my new idea - the mad scientist Wilson. This character you can meet in the game Don't Starve. I took some arts and fan arts:
As you can see, the main feature of this character - it is a hairstyle. I started working in this direction.

These hair remind me of Heihachi Mishima from Tekken.
I slightly altered hair, added shoes and pants. Now I need to finish the red waistcoat.
Maybe I need to change the "black" colors.
Also on the arts you can see black sleeves/gloves/underwear? I do not understand what kind of clothes he wears. This is similar to resistant armguards or long gloves
I really like how u did the pants! Excellent mesh-work and texturing
Yeah, thanks to the talented Runic games artists!
I just made a hybrid of different pants and worked a little over shape and size.
Moreover I took the shoes from T-Mobile game. But I changed and remap the texture - made it smaller and simpler and remade it for the T2 wardrobe format.
