Hi @Korzeam

I found another bug when using Variant Pet with Essential Mod. In Enhance Fish "Enhanced [Fire / Ice / Lightning / Poison] Rock Elemental Essence". When I want to change my pet with Enhance Fish sold in Essential Mod ("Enhanced [Fire / Ice / Lightning / Poison] Rock Elemental Essence"), I can not change my pet. My pet has not changed, still the same.

I think I've fixed this one, same GUID for differnt pets.
For the warlock problem I have no clue, I've recreated the pet and it's the same.

But it looks like it still problematic. :( Can you check it again? :)

Edit:

Sorry I tested it on the old version not the latest one (the one in Steam). The elemental Rock problem has been fixed in the latest version. :P

Congratulations for Variant Pet it's already published in Steam Workshop. :D

Can you also update the GDrive Link and give it a download link in Steam for NoSteam users. :)



I'll wait for the sequel in Phase 3. ;)

Hi @Korzeam Did u solve the WarlockClass - WarlockPet issue?  If not yet, I can try to look at it.  I just downloaded from Steam to make sure i have the latest version ;)

@Sch123 how about the noisy pets? all okay now?

I see two Varkolyn Warlock .DAT files in MEDIA\UNITS\MONSTERS\PETS\...

PET_VARKOLYN_WARLOCK
and
PET_VARKOLYN_WARLOC

and they have the same GUID (-4749475966919924218).

This should cause Varkolyn Warlock pet to crash in any case, but it does not explain why the Varkolyn Warlock pet + Synergies Warlock class combination crashes.

Anyway still looking...

By the way, in the torchmodders discord LordNyriox made a suggestion for another variant pet - the "invisible pet".

I think it's a good idea, for players who would rather not have any companion, but still want the inventory space ;)

What do you think?

In my folder I have a PET_VARKOLYN_WARLOC.DAT.BINDAT but no PET_VARKOLYN_WARLOC.DAT.
I have forget to clean this file but I don't think it's a problem.

By the way I've created the file without a "K" to test a fix after @Sch123 noticed the bug , so it can't be the original problem.

I won't lie, I will take a long break before phase 3.
In fact, if someone expresses the wish to take over the mod I'll probably let him do it, particulary if that person is @doudley (because he is awesome !).

I thought to create little variant pets add-ons before, that would be easier to do and add some fun.
Examples :
- Variant Pets BIG : for people who like powerful pets. Every pet would start with +50% size, and doubles damage / HP / armor
- Variant Pets Scrolls : for people who like summons. Adds a scroll for every pet to summon it for X minutes.
- Variant Pets Dark Portal : would add a Dark Portal pet. This pet doesn't attack but instead summon random pets from Variant Pets

I particulary like the last example, but it's a little harder to do.
What do you think ?
