Author Topic: Just an Idea---Purchasing Treasure Chests (not the model, just icon)from Merchant  (Read 831 times)

Good Morning,

Thinking after I finish some maps and cleaning up the casino if needed, I would tackle purchasing treasure chests from merchants with random treasure in each one. This, like the casino, would be another gold sink. Of the top of your head (do not kill yourself with research), how would one enable a purchased consumable (like a potion) to spawn a random treasure...I think it may be somewhat easy at first glance. Each treasure chest would have an identical icon of course...

Just random thoughts...opinions most welcome. Now, I start on the maps.

I may be way off, but I would start by looking into how monster-drops are generated  :-[

An inventory item with one use that has a summon skill...it summons a treasure chest (instead of a monster) with a specific spawn class. It would be consumable like a potion...

It would seem very easy.  You might also be able to have the consumable spawn the treasure directly by spawn class.  On the layout, instead of summoning the treasure chest, you could try to have it summon the treasure's spawn class.
