Hey!

I want to "create" a class, but it's more like Copying the Vanilla Enginner, and adding skills from all the other 3 Vanilla classes, I Don't want to edit the skills, the sounds, or anything like that, just using the Enginner as a Base with my selection of Vanilla Skills, without touching anything else.

I want to leave it as easiest as posible, since I have no clue using GUTS, i've tried using this guide
This guide is going to be describing how to; Make a class Make a skill Make a skill tree...
steamcommunity.com
but its writen like if we already knew how it works, and i can't pull it off with what it shows there, and seems to complicated for what i want to do, wich seems more simple.

I leave here a link to a discussion I have created on the steam mod page, wich shows all the skills I want to put, in case anyone wants to talk about the balance of the class or any other things.

Thanks!

Hey!

Thats what I used for testing my "class" it was great for testing but I don't like to play with all tabs open and available, feels weird, plus I don't trust myself not messing around at some point x'D

Okay maybe I wasnt clear (sorry i'm not english native :P I try to talk as clearly as I can but its by no means perfect)

I do want to do it with GUTS, (if it's the only/easier choice)

But I havent been able, for example, when I go to Data Editors/Units/Players at the left there is no files, so, do I have to upload them myself?

Lets say I go to Add new unit, what do I chose, single or multi?

What is the "folder" section do?

Should i use "clone"? i tried using the clone stuff, managed to put one file, but there are 3 enginers files, Player / male/ and female, well I loaded all 3 (still don't know what "folder" does

Tried to change the skills that are showing on the enginer class ( got elemental attunement and fire brand, but coudln't find Frost phase, does it have a different name there? how can i know wich skill is?

What am I doing? xD am I actually changuing a copy of the enginner giving him the skills I want by doing this or...?

So I have been reading http://torchmodders.com/wiki/doku.php?id=class_creation

So I guess my first question would be, how can I Clone an entire class,(the enginner in this case)
to be able to start messing with it (actually just trying to put the skills i want) without touching anything else of the class, so it remains with the same quest reward x class, or wearing the same sets etc etc so anything that I didn't touch remains as the vanilla enginner

Hello @Lrv and Welcome to Torchmodders. Have you checked  this video on class creation? For your class you would need to just ignore the part of unittypes, but the rest would be a good base.

About your issue of the class files not appaaring is certainly because you haven't set a filter for the files, if you set the filter to PLAYERS, you will see all the files for the classes.
