[Request Help] Protocol for testing skills
« on: »
Hi all!

Can anyone suggest an effective protocol for testing skills?

A big reason I released my first destro mod with so many broken skills was because I didnt really do any testing  :(

Whats a simple yet effective protocol I could use to check that the affixes and damage are all firing properly per skill level?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Phanjam,

Load up the mod in TL2 and this is what you do.  Open the console and enable the combatlog.  I think you just type 'combatlog'.  I then send my toon to the qatest dungeon.  Command for that is 'dungeon qatest'.

Open the console and punch the punchbag with your skill.  The combatlog should show its damage, any affixes it applies or removes, and any skills it executes.

Then, just levelup your toon with the console.  I usually just go straight to 100 so I can max any skill I need to test.

I dunno if that helps.  Hope it does.
