At this point after playing Torchlight 2 for 8 years original and modded... ignorant of mods and now wise with compatibility... the one thing I value the most-

-is being able to have "support" from the author of any mod.

I think the only advice I can give is that you don't burn yourself out. ^_^

How high of quality are you looking for?
This could be done by taking the Wolf pet in TL2, adding some red paint, and winglets...

There is a sfm model:
Steam Workshop::Amaterasu (Marvel Vs Capcom 3)
steamcommunity.com

but it looks like it was ripped from a game. This could be used as reference if someone were to model it.

You would need someone with 3dsmax installed to export it to either ogre3d or an fbx format blender can read.
It even has animations, so bonus!

I also found some 3D models with FBX format, maybe this can be made as a pet:

@Vkoslak Thank you for responding and with good advice!

@Sch123 I also thank you for your suggestions and research for tools!

Ultimately it can be a simple repaint of the wolf skin since "Okami" fans would be pleased to have this in a Pet mod.

The hardest part may be getting the red stripes placed properly in the texture yet I've seen a decent tiger re skin done for the panther so it's promising!
