Well, I open this topic to discuss the design and the reasoning behind it of the enemies the player will face in The lost expedition dungeon.
First, a little introduction, the models that have been provided to me by a contributor and someone I'm considering a new friend, are 3 types of nerubian, the worker, the warrior and the caster. Also this models come with 4 different color schemes, so I decided to make 4 sub-types of nerubians, every sub-type corresponding to a different floor on the dungeon + one related to summons.
All this is right now only a matter of desing, the ideas posted here may be changed in the future if they can't be implemented or other problems arise.
The type of nerubian will share a common passive buff, that will stack in function of the number of nerubians of the same type that are near, this will make fighting a large number of enemies alone a very dangerous and difficulat task, since my idea is that this dungeon is going to be something to take with a friend or two.
So, the shared passives are going to be:
- Nerubian Worker: Heart of the Swarm
The workers will get a HP bonus (or other defensive stat) per nerubian worker close to them - Nerubian Warrior: Claws of the Swarm
The Warrior will get a Damage bonus (or other offensive stat) per warrior in the vicinity - Nerubian Caster: Magic of the Swarm
The caster will get a cast speed bonus per caster near them
This sub-types, or what I will call them from now on: species, of nerubians, will share a common active skill and will relate to the part they take in the nerubian society.
The shared actives are going to be:
- Black Nerubian: Posion Cloud
The black nerubians will cast a poison cloud (
)like the one that some enemies spawn on death - Albino Nerubian: Dig
This nerubian will be capable of digging and moving underground to approach or scape from the player - Orange Nerubian: Prayer
The orange nerubian can pray to their gods for protection 40% change to absorb all damage during 2 seconds - Undead Nerubian: soul-eater
The undead nerubian can sacrifice other monsters to take their souls and get an Damage and armour bonus
