hey guys

i want to create a new class this called abyss lord the idea is from dungeon defender 2 class. this class will focus on summoning a army of minion, buff the minion, and few skill that can be active for protect the player.
for summoning skill, maybe i will use some existed spell so it will be more work well. but for another spell like buff and protective spell i wanna create it by myself.

so if i wanna do that where i must looking for???, what i must learn???

can you guys tell me how to do it.

My suggestion would be the same as how I learned to make skills for my human companion.

I started by reverse engineering the native skills and familiarized myself with other skills in the game source.

You can also try learning from other class mods but I prefer to start with the vanilla first just to know the proper compositions.

There's some already made class mods out there that specialized in summoning or minion harnessing that could help you gain quick inspirations. Most popular than I know of are Nethermancer and PlagueLord.
