It's okay, I'm just wondering is it possible?. Because Pet Fish that already exists only gives pet skin by default. If it can give skin randomly, I think it will surprise people who use it. :D

But that's for Phase 2, so don't think too much about it. Because, there's still something to be done in Phase 1. ;)

By the way, what about Pet that can not use spell, can it be fixed? :)

I've uploaded a new version (see the link in the first post).

Be careful I've changed a lot of pet names, so if you have made some tests with the old version ,I suggest you delete first your test characters before you install the new one.


Updates list :

- Changed some pet names to harmonize with TL2 Essentials. Unfortunately I can't do the same Synergies, you will have doubles with it.

- Added some of the missing skins / pets of @Sch123 list. I probably won't do the rest for various reasons (mostly technically). If you want some details I can provide some.

- Added the 6 missing pets from @Galandrix. I still didn't get his authorization but he seems unreachable.

- Every pets have icons now (not always awesome though).

- Started to fix the pets who can't attack and pets who can't use spells. I still have a lot of testing to do, but I make progress.

- Added new skins for a few pets.


I have finally understand how pets can use weapons in monster hero mod. I won't do the same thing for compatibility issues (with inventory mods), no pets will have weapons except if the weapon is directly in the model.

The mod is now 83 Mb and contains 164 pets (including vanilla).

- Pet Sand Colossus still making vibration on screen (make me dizzy)
- Pet Swamp Troll still not visible on the Status Pet menu (Black screen)
- Pet King in Mask still doesn't have a face on Status Pet menu
- Thanks for the skin of White Tiger & Small Scorpion Pet ;D
- Thanks also for the addition of Pet from @Galandrix  ;)

I think later if you will include Minecraft Creeper In Variant pet, maybe he can be a Pet Type Support, where he can not attack but will support players such as Heal All skill cast, elemental shield, reflector attack, etc. :D

Or maybe you can give skill modification from Heal all, he Regen Hp & MP player and Pet in few seconds, He also attack the enemy by giving the opposite effect on the enemy Reduce the enemy's HP in few seconds. ;D

I also have interesting ideas for Pet Gravedigger. Since he can not attack, what if he is also created as a Pet Type Support. He will walk around us and do some digging to summon Zombies / Skeleton to help us fight the enemy. And sometimes he digs some Gold too. ;)

In Monster Hero mod it's not a pet but a class, it's quite different.
Maybe I will create it but it's not in my top priorities.

I don't think it's possible to fix.
The mask is a unit theme and I believe Status Pet menu doesn't handle unit themes.


For your gravedigger idea, why not but it's more for phase 3.
By the way, the gravedigger is able to attack now.

Yes, I just realized it. :)
It seems like almost any Pet that previously could not attack now can attack. But there is still Pet that could not attack, it's Trog Cerebrite.

Yes, I also do not know it only happens to Pet Troll Swamp. :(

If like that, it's okay, basically he has 3 masks as his face, red, blue and green. Therefore he has no real face (hollow face). :D

But when he's in an aggressive Mode he does not attack any nearby enemy, he just runs around.
That also happened to Pet Lich.

Suggestion:

- Maybe Dire Wolf in Variant Pet can be renamed as "Hellhound" as a differentiator with Dire Wolf in Synergies Mod.  ;)
And also add skin is also good, for example White Wolf skin that is on Pet Wolf Variant. Or any skin that matches Hellhound :D

- And give a different Icon on Pet "Dark Zealot" as a differentiator with Zealot that is on Synergies. Maybe you can change the background color to black or something that matches the Dark Zealot.

No problem! ;)

the walk/run shake is from a CAMERASHAKE [KEY] in the sand-construct's .ANIMATION file.  Attached .ZIP has the edited .ANIMATION which removes those KEYs.  Not tested but should be okay after this / let me know if not pls!

Wait! the above fix will affect ALL sand constructs, even the vanilla monsters.  I will give you a better fix in a few minutes...

It's working.  ;)

Two questions :
- With what kind of software you can edit mesh files ?
- What kind of information is stored in the mesh file ?  Obviously the 3D model, but what else ?

I ask because I may have to use alternative mesh files for the pets I debug to can attack, like you did for the sand colossus.
Because the way I used to do that is to create an Attack1 animation base on another animation.
But I'm afraid it can alter the way the original monsters act in battle.

A skin based on a model can't be applied on another model.
It's the reason why I didn't do some items of your missing list.

I uploaded a new version.
Updates :

- 2 new pets : guardian siege and ironguard dwarf
- fix for Trog Cerebrite and Lich AI
- fix for Sand Colossus shaking (thanks to @Phanjam)
- a few new skins (cultists, thugs, grand regent, ...)
