@Phanjam, Thanks for that playground!
I'll post my projects here asap!
Mods in Progress:
HUD and UI overhaul - get the most out of UI
Huntsmen Class Mod - a changed ChargeBarSystem supporting strategical use of skills
Character Progression - get rewarded for how YOU play the game - counting triggerables
Roles and Destinies - a classless skill system hopefully covering up all your dreams... (necessary things are made up, now the skills have to be done!
Mods in Theory:
Monsters drop 'used' items - just an Idea of a cool ingame gimmig
Stats and Attribute overhaul - this is a sup project inside my main mods
SkillSystem rework - sub mod too - might end up in a skill map (PoE-like) with different starting points
Item Rework - once the others are finished I'll need to 'fix' items to fit in the systems
Holy moley lolesch, so much good STUFF! i hope you will put them in separate threads or this one will get very confusing

Which of these is closest to the "classless" concept? And im very interested in the "skill map" project

!
I will put them in separated threads, this was just the collection where I want to link them too.
when I joined the classless concept discussion I started to point out the need of classes

This is when I started to talk about Roles and Destinies and what will be closest to "classless". Winter is passing, so I dont know how much progress I can get on that any soon...
So just a quick outline:
the 12 Classes get different Charge boni wich support different Roles (Tank, Caster, Critter, Necro... )
Now I want to implement Destinies (ala Oblivion birthsigns) - passive skills or attribute packs that are available for everyone but get boosted when selected as your Destiny. That allows you to opt out your gameplay.
This all should come with the Skill map i was mentioning where you get full access to all skills but you have to get there. Startpoin is chosen with the class so your ranged weapon class might access melee staves cast skills but this is somehow far from where you start.
Therefor I need to categorize skills and find a "natural" way to lokate them on the map.
But I'll line it out more detailed in its own thread (hopefully soon)
