Hi all.
I think I've mentioned/suggested this before, but I'll bring it up again, as it seems relevant to the process we're in with TL1CP.
Do you guys feel the need for a real bug tracker? I can probably set one up pretty easy. Would it help in the process of keeping track of bugs, or would it just be one more thing to pay attention too?
Please voice your opinions.
Having a real bug tracker would be absolutely terrific, IMO.
We could also use it to track new features/workitems/etc instead of having to maintain long tracking lists/rollups for every major version.
Alright, that all the incentive I need. I'll start looking into it.
Oki. I've set up a tracker using a system called
The Bug GenieThe URL is:
http://bugs.torchmodders.comThere are no projects or teams or anything set up at the moment. Just the bare install. I need to familiarize my self with the software before I start populating it. It's probably not that complicated, but I'm too tired to do that now.
Also note: The Single Sign On (SSO) we have does not work with the tracker, as it does not have a plugin in JFusion. It might be possible to use the universal plugin, but I've not looked into that yet. So you need to register a separate account in the tracker.
Once a few of you have registered, I'll distribute some power to you all. I'm guessing we need a need a few admins, or something...
I've registered

!
And thanks mucho for doing this Wolven! I agree with Khazad - an issue tracker would help a LOT for the curation of ongoing updates and such!
Of course, ease of use wold be a big factor too, but this is GREAT
Nice. I haven't heard of bug genie. Bugzilla is the only free one I've used.
Uhm hey
@Wolven ive forgotten my credentials for the bug site and i couldnt seem to find any "forgot my password" link. Could u reset me pls and just PM me the new creds? Thanks!
FYI:
I've shut down the bug tracker. I've gotten complaints from our host that we're using too much CPU cycles, and when looking at the statistics the tracker was generating a lot of it. Not sure why, as it's not in use, but it might be spam bots trying to register accounts or something.
Ah well, im sure we'll find something, someday

Thanks for the update Wolven!
