So whenever I'm playing around with the maps and dragging some NPCs here and there to better understand how layouts work, I noticed on some maps like Estherian Enclave, I can move objects on any direction, how far and it just feels smooth as butter.
However when I go on other maps like the Imperial Camp and the Middenmines, I can't really position NPCs where I want them to be. When I try to rotate something, it only turns in 90 degree angles. Is this just inherently based on the map or is there a setting in GUTS that I have to tick?
im not familiar with level design, but i do encounter this same problem with particles in regards to orientation, not position, my fix is to:
1. to right click an object
2. mouse over "noise" on the drop box
3. select the "1 degree" option
this little nudge usually allows me to re-orient unruly particles
but im not 100% sure with the level related objects
you can also just edit the positions manually via the X,Y,Z options under the "position" panel on the right side
Hard, you can change the snap options for objects:
That's it! I just have to turn off snap! Thanks for the help both of you!
