Our server hosting will expire in 30 days and we need to renew the service to continue this forum and website. I know I should have set up system for continues donations with monthly goals etc, but I keep forgetting to do this, so here we are again with a months notice... I'm sorry. :-[
The hosting fee is pretty expensive. The total cost is 155.40 EUR for 12 months. I can not make this payment this time. I have no chance of doing so with my current economy.
I am willing to transfer the domain torchmodders.com to someone else, if there's anyone is up for the task of hosting us. I will provide all the help I can with copying over the forums, wiki, etc.

Yeah, your EU hosting is very expensive.
Which plan did you choose? How much does this Torchmodders project require?
Сan we search for cheaper offers, for example in Asia?

We're on the tier 2 plan. It's possible to downgrade the plan, this will shave off the cost a little bit. Down to around 100 EUR or so. I've done this in the past and it's enough for our needs.
We can look around for another host and see if we can cut the cost. I've looked at this before though and not really found anyone I've been satisfied with, feature and service wise, but i'm open for suggestions.
I'm sure we can manage fund this though, if we all chip in a bit, and if I downgrade the plan.

And I still think that we need to make a donation purse and a counter. I'm not sure that there are many who want to do this, but it's better than nothing.

@Wolven found a donation bot we can use on discord which I have added already in the torchmodders discord here (short-URL to discord channel: http://bit.ly/torchmodder-donate).
I used it already and it works well. Am looking for a way to know who donated so we can somehow give a little recognition ;)

Yeah, life is changing. Now the attitude towards donations is changing. 10 years ago, to donate money to streamers was a new thing, now it's the norm.

I have considered this. If we can be ad free that would be nice, but it is certainly an option. I'm leaning more towards your other idea of having a donation counter displayed and have a yearly goal to cover our needs.

Hey guys, I wasn’t there for a long time, seems like I came at the right moment to help a little.
Any progress with other hosts or something? If not I’d appreciate a visual bar that is filling up, helps to reach the final goal I guess.
Anyways, gonna donate some money, this forum is still so worth to be supported!

Hi lolesch. Welcome back.
I haven't looked at any other hosts, but I will most likely downgrade our plan with the current host to lower the cost. And I haven't gotten around to setting up a visual indicator for the donation progress. So if anyone as a suggestion to one we can use, which will work here, that would be great.
As of now, including your donation we're up to $145 ish, so we're getting close. (The dollar is at a lower rate than the Euro.)

We need a way to get funds for the hosting spread out through the year, and a nice way to visually represent it and our target sum, here on the forum. If anyone knows of solution for this, please let me know.

We need a way to get funds for the hosting spread out through the year, and a nice way to visually represent it and our target sum, here on the forum.
The simplest solution I can think of, would be an additional widget somewhere in the right-sidebar of the forums—possibly duplicated as a block of text on the main page.
I would recommend something that allows you to display a percentage based on two values (current funding, and annual hosting cost), and simply hand-edit those two base-values whenever you recieve a donation.
Anything more automatic than that is likely to be seriously frustrating.
