Mod Description
LAO III extends ITEMS to 999 and DUNGEONS to Level 999 plus it enhances game play difficulty and adds some game balancing.
The mod has two parts - mainly to help reduce load times
Part 1 extends Items to level 499
Part 2 extends Items from level 500 to 999
Part 2 is NOT required to play Part 1
Part 1 IS required to play Part 2
*Max Character level is NOT extended beyond 100, doing so breaks multiplayer.
WARNING - This mod will bind to your character and mark you as a cheater

I DO NOT recommend playing with Synergies or Torchlight Essentials
**This mod can take a couple minutes to load based on your computer, it is normal**
LAO III is also NOT compatible with any of my other LAO mods. If you are using those mods, installing this version will probably cause you to lose or break all your items. Please backup your saves before subscribing and loading LAO III, in case you want to go back to those.
Some of the Changes

Congratulations on the release RnF. :) I haven't played TL2 in a while, but I'll be giving this mod a spin for sure.

Hey Wolven! Happy New Year!
-
- Removed Bigbagmod from LAO III, it was causing too many conflicts in game, and players not wanting it or wanting to use other inventory mods instead, which is understandable.
Don't hate me of you lose items :'(
I debated about this before releasing, should have just left it out. What's done is done I suppose. But I think the mod will be better in the long run if any inventory expansions are not included. It certainly restricts the flexibility to LAO III if I make those types of changes. So my apologies!

Rock on, RnF. Looks fairly awesome!

Hi RnF,
I really like your mod but the last update (03/10/2017) is not available on the non-steam link. Is it possible to fix it as i don't have any steam account (and don't really need to create one).
Best regards,
JacKc.

New version released
3/25/2017 - Update
Items
- Ember Shields Added (32 new models, about 1000 items in total expanded to level 499)
See video below for preview of most of them
Ember Shields specialize in Elemental Resistances instead of Physical Resistance like regular shields.
I used the Torchlight 1 shields as a base to build on, I did replace the TL1 models with an "energy" particle model instead. So most of the shield names will be familiar to those who play TL1.
The shield model effects are a bit "floaty" while running, there isn't really a fix for this, so hopefully that isn't too annoying. Hope you like them.

Hope you like them.
Are you kidding? I LOVE THEM!!! In fact, I'm gonna play right now just because of them!
Ooh I wonder if these can be made to like flash a little brighter when you hit them?...
-
Is it normal that you need to hold shift for the staff projectiles to shoot out properly? Else it would force your char to move into melee range.

Yes, I think wands and other ranged items may be the same way?? Not sure on that. But Staffs originally behaved as a "melee" weapon, so their behavior could be a bit different from wands. Holding shift down what you will want to do to control your movement.

Hi RnF,
Really nice items those new particle shields. Just notice they are spawning at very high level :o
For example Outlander level 100 and loot some particle shield at level 327 (so sadly can't equip them as required stats are too high for my lvl 100).
best regards,
JacKc.
NOTE: Will you intend to create some legendary particle shields?

What dungeon levels are you in? The drops should correlate with that, not your character level. If you are in level 100 dungeons and you got a level 327 shield, we have a problem :) If you are in level 327ish dungeons, that is normal.
To get the stats, you can enchant your gear with Stat bonuses from "Boris" the stat enchanter.
Edit: There are Legendary Ember Shields, all though they do share the same graphics as the Unique versions.

@JacKc
Checked the files, the shields should be spawning correctly.
I have an idea of what the issue is though.
You didn't happen to have use the "Start at level 100" mod to create a new character, then later played an older character who did not use this mod, who is deeper in NG+, without removing the "Start at level 100" mod?
That would jump your character to higher leveled dungeons inadvertently since that mod adjusts the NG+ dungeon levels and you would get higher leveled item drops
You would want to remove that "Start at level 100" mod to place your character back into the correct dungeon levels that correlate with your NG+ mode.

Just confirmed that you are correct, some those shields are spawning at the incorrect level. Thanks for the update, not I gotta figure out why :-[
Edit: Found the issue, it has been fixed.
Update/Fix has been released!
Published v.147
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a spawn issue with one of the Ember Shields spawning at the incorrect levels
- Hopefully increased the performance of 2H Throwing Axes (were missing target a lot)
Ember Shields
- Lowered spawn rate slightly

1H Throwing Axes
- Shift is no longer needs to be held down to throw axe
Staffs
- Shift is no longer needs to be held down to fire weapon
All Weapons

- This improves the ability of all weapons to be able to attack at their maximum range without needing to hold shift down
Shields
- Removed inherited block% bonus
4/7/2017 Update
Mod Changes
LAO III Part 1 is NOT required to use Part 2 anymore
But removing Part 1 can cause you to lose items, if you try to play a character with those items. If you don't load that character and install Part 1 at a later time, the items will be retained.
Part 2 includes items 1-99 and 500-999 (Levels 1-99 are required to override the vanilla settings of items)
If you remove Part 1 from your Mod Load, items between Levels 100 and 499 can vanish if a character with those items is loaded.

Hey yeah RnF, I've got a female Destro using a dual-wielder build.
Right now she's got an axe and a fist and I have trouble hitting stuff :D Basically she won't close the gap to get close to the target. She'll just start swinging from where she is (and missing of course).
Not saying definitively this is from LAO3; will do more testing and give feedback...
-
Most likely is LAO, recently made a change to weapon ranges.
Can you get me the weapon names?
I may have over looked something when I made the change.
-
Thanks R! Here are the 2 items...

Thanks Phan!
Try them now, I think I fixed the issue. I had to adjust the Fists Range and Attack Range to match other 1 handed melee weapons to prevent this from happening when dual wielding them together.

woot thanks RnF! Will try tonight and report back. Thanks!
