Dear Kenneth,
With this notification we would like to inform you that our in-house Website Performance Monitoring System (WPMS) has signaled that your account constantly uses a large amount of the server's CPU resources. These excessive requests consume an abnormally high amount of CPU resources and endanger the overall performance of the shared server.
Your account consumed more than 34300 CPU executions for the last 24 hours.
Violated terms of service:
No more than 20,000 script or program executions for any given calendar day;
SiteGround's servers use stable hardware, as well as custom developed load-balancing monitoring system. This is why we let our accounts utilize even more CPU resources than the industry standard allows.
Unfortunately, your website's server resource usage is not suitable for a shared hosting server and that is why we will no longer be able to host it there. In order to ensure the stability of the server and all accounts hosted on it, we had to permanently limit the shared server resources your account can use.
We do understand the inconvenience this issue may cause you, but please look at the situation from our point of view - your account constantly uses more resources than the shared server allows and as a result the performance of all accounts hosted on the server has been affected. In such cases we must take the necessary measures to protect all websites hosted on the server. This is a standard procedure used by all shared hosting providers.
A dedicated solution will be much more suitable for your website and will provide you with exclusive server resources needed by a website of this scale to function and grow freely. If you choose to upgrade to a higher plan, we recommend our Cloud and Dedicated servers:
- Premium Managed Dedicated Servers ( http://www.siteground.com/dedicated_solutions.htm )
- Cloud Hosting Designed for High Performance ( http://www.siteground.com/cloud_hosting.htm )
Thank you for your understanding. We hope this case will be solved in the best interest for both parties.
Hello Kenneth,
The high CPU usage is generated by the ShoutBox module that you use for the forum torchmodders.com/forums. In your case you will need to disable this module as it generates too much CPU usage.
