Title: [QUESTION] New models of NPCs

Does anyone need new models? I've been messing around and I need to practice, I want to do something useful and simple. Something interesting. :) I want to use the standard wardrobe, but add something new - maybe swords, shields, bags, trophies. Something like this from my guide: (http://i.imgur.com/4vTtE84.png)

Hi Kva!
gytfunke's Lure of Ember TC concept (http://torchmodders.com/forums/modding-discussions/my-dream-mod/) will need new NPCs because there will be some stats where you get the points from quests, which means there will be lots of quests. But as you saw, that's still a long way from becoming real :(
If you like we can make a pool of new-model NPCs which can be used by multiple mods. I can help with making more textures so we can have variety even from a few meshes ;)

Honestly, I'll need a bunch of models and retextures for my mods NPCs. The example pic you gave was awesome and I love the second one too! I haven't even messed with this facet of the editor quite yet, nor my quest or town chunks.
However this would knock a humongous workload off of my plate~ If there's anything I can help contribute to this work let me know :)

I need a Zeus, Poseidon and Hades for sure. End bosses for 3 separate areas I'm working on.
A minotaur would be cool too.

I'm not a big steampunk fan. I love TL and TL2 and the way they did things, but I'm more of a mythological guy. That being said, you have hit the nail on the head with that model. Thanks so much for taking this venture on. You are my hero.

Well, I have an idea to make a "more classic" Minotaur. Like a human with a bull's head. This model is "too beast" and I'm not sure that it is well suited for your mod.

Looks pretty good. Do you think you can texture the body to match the feet and head? And is the model the same as a playable character? Because we could just add armor to it that way for ease. Could also make a playable race out of it too.

I use the Destroyer skeleton. Playable character can be done, but it requires a lot of work.

The NPC_HUM_CULTIST model uses a Human skeleton (put all files in the Hum_m directory. You can use this model for monsters, NPCs or pets.
The NPC_EST_CULTIST model uses a Estherian skeleton (put all files in the Est_m directory). This model works well only with some idle animations. I recommend to use it only for NPCs.

I can do this, but it is necessary to rework the lower part of clothing, it causes problems with movement. Maybe someday I'll do it. :)

Yeah, right. But I always use all is possible. ;D This armor looks "fresh" and solve my task. Moreover, for my "Minotaur" I used my "Dwarf". Technically, this Minotaur it's Destroyer TL1. (http://i.imgur.com/IRziwwO.png) Here is the armor for dwarf.

Well, I have an idea to equip pistols in this turret place, but I need to think about this idea. Say, if you equip pistol in the left hand, it appears instead of the turret.

Well, while I was doing this model I got a new idea. :) I use the madness in my story. But it will be not the captain, but the first officer. This guy fallen under the influence of the Dark Lord. This influence draws the officer in the Dark Palace. For this reason, during the night he changed the flight route. Madness and strange behavior caused the conflict in the crew. The first officer loses control over himself and then sets fire a bunch of dynamite in the engine - the embercopter is wrecked.

This NPC will be extremely important in my history. This is a brilliant inventor and engineer with a tragic story. Earlier, I wanted to use Ponya, but recently I met Chumbucket and changed my decision.
Well, my Cham Bucket is the creator of the Steam Tech Recycler, the Vitalayser and much more. He flew to the capital, but a catastrophe happens and the embercopter crashed. Cham survived but lost his left arm, became blind in one eye and broke his back. Now he is disfigured, but not crushed and he continues his favorite activity.
Just out of curiosity, how did you make the great idle animation? It's pretty cool looking with all that moving parts.

I used the standard model which can be found here: MEDIA\LEVELSETS\PROPS\DWARVENLAB_PROPS\ANIMATED_PROPS\DWARVENLAB_MACHINERY_MEDIUM_04\ This prop has an excellent base model and Idle animation - all parts are shaking - it's cool.
Then I reworked this model - added the necessary new parts
After that I changed the standart prop skeleton. I moved it a little bit and added new bones(Door1, Door2, Pan, Gear1, Gear2, Handle, Prop). Originally I was planning to use 2 doors, but then I changed it to the lock + the door.
On my gif-picture all new movements I added in a text editor to check how it works. It's quite simple, because mechanisms has simple movements - rotating and sliding.
But now, I'm trying to make more complex movements in 3D Max. It is more convenient and faster.
Also I reduced(scale) skeleton and animations to 60% in 3D Max for a human height.

These hair remind me of Heihachi Mishima from Tekken. :D
I slightly altered hair, added shoes and pants. Now I need to finish the red waistcoat.

Maybe I need to change the "black" colors.
Also on the arts you can see black sleeves/gloves/underwear? I do not understand what kind of clothes he wears. This is similar to resistant armguards or long gloves :)

Moreover I took the shoes from T-Mobile game. ::) But I changed and remap the texture - made it smaller and simpler and remade it for the T2 wardrobe format.
