Looks super sweet Kva!
The account hijack is not so sweet though...

Hey yeah i was wondering what all that "removed by moderator" was all about! Hearing that it was because someone hijacked your account actually makes me angry.
But on a lighter note, OMG Kva that Alch work is just fantastic! Not only did you get his gauntlet in, but you got his book and vials in there too! Just too great for words!

@Kva3imoda I split-off your reply into its own topic. This is just too great, it needs its own thread! 8)

Hi guys! Kva has released his custom files (thanks SO much Kva!). They're in our repository at this address (https://trello.com/b/7z46joDI/alchemist-items).
I think we need to settle how we will get these great new items into the game, and then I guess also what we want to bring over.
Here's a pic of what's available...
I guess the helm and shoulders go in as new items; do we want to make them uniques or something?
How do we handle the trim items (vials and book)? I hesitate to say let's put them on all the meshes for the ALch to use, bcos it seems like a lot of work!
And the GAUNTLET! I know we chatted about this before and I think we agreed it'd be a class-specific glove item, but now that it's here what do you think it's role should be as part of the Alch's arsenal / persona?
Also there are 12 gauntlet meshes from TL1,but I think we shouldn't bring them all in. Just the ones with very distinct shapes, then we can make more variety via textures. @Kva3imoda what do you think?
Also,I believe the game will force us to implement glove items as a pair, so, @Kva3imoda , is it okay with you to match each gauntlet we bring with a right-hand glove? Again it doesn't have to be many different meshes, wecan just use texturing.
Is there more we need to settle?

Can I request you to port a few more TL1 alch gauntlet meshes onto the TL2 models? ;) So that we can have more gauntlet items for the Alch.
Not all of them! Just the ones with very different shapes, like...
I'm thinking for the right-hand glove we can just use one mesh with a "neutral"shape of glove, then we can just make it look like the left-hand gauntlet via texturing.
I volunteer to do the texturing! :P

But in terms of timing you can feel we are trying to launch this soon, so things like custom Legendaries or Uniques might be additional DLC after first launch (but I really want to do this!)

Yeah, Kva, I would love to see you do some unique armor sets for all three classes. Even just one each would be amazing. We could use them as their ultimate, class-specific armor.

Ok guys, I get it. :) Import and rework the TL1 armor models is a complex process. The easiest way - get helmets and shoulders(and gauntlets for Alch), for everything else use retexturing and use the standard wardrobe.

I agree with your approach. I will definitely help you with all the retexturing. Maybe we can ask @Arkham to help too :)

Guys, what do you say if I use gauntlets for my new race - The Immortals? The new race will give me an incentive to work on gauntlets. ::)

Of course that's fine Kva! The gauntlets are your work after all, so you can use them any way you want ;)

Was just thinking - maybe we could make these unique armor sets drop only from special bosses. These bosses could use the TL1 models (for TL1 flavor and also because they're already available :P ) and you have to accept a quest to encounter them. When you defeat them they drop the armor they were using, so you now have a complete unique set.
The big challenges are of course importing 2 or 3 TL1 armor sets into TL2, but the quest-design is also a big challenge. Maybe not day-1 content but additional DLC.
Hey @Kva3imoda I saw your new post about the Faceless class! I'll have time this weekend to help you with the back-story editing ;P

Pha, I tried to answer you. But problems are not in the models. It works, here's how it looks.

Thanks very much Kva!
Your item .DAT file is for a full "suit" implementation, am I right?
I'm trying to use your models for just a glove item, by putting them in a glove .DAT like this...
I can spawn the glove just fine in GUTS, but when I try to pick it up it will crash GUTS :(

@Kva3imoda I figured out what I was doing wrong! I was not using the .SKELETON files you provided in your download (I assumed your meshes were still using the standard TL2 HUM_M and HUM_F skeletons ::) ) - MY BAD!
All good now - my glove/gauntlet item shows up fine! :P
Thank you again Kva for these great meshes!

Technically is true, wardrobe skeletons identical, but have a different name. :)

Thanks Gytfunke!
Kva i have a question for you - is it possible to reposition the gauntlet meshes so that they can be equipped as weapons? Im thinking this will be an easier way to put them in the game, since its not necessary to make a complete wardrobe-like mesh for weapons. What do you think?

This is possible, but the result will be unsatisfactory. During animation weapons rotate, there will be problems. Possible to try make shields, but I'm not sure of the result.

You're right, I didn't think about that. I'll try to convert some more of the glove items to use the gauntlet mesh...
I will experiment if I can assign the mesh from the base .DAT file, to simplify the work :P
EDIT Yup, you can define the mesh to use from the base .DAT file of your unit. Having trouble using [TEXTURE_REPLACE] though...
